Add or remove a host distribution rule (FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint)

Host distribution rules are used to associate a host with a specific crawl database. By default, hosts are load balanced across crawl databases based on space availability. However, you may want to assign a host to a specific crawl database for availability and performance optimization. For more information about crawl databases, see Add or remove a crawl database (FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint).
To add a host distribution rule
In Central Administration, in the Application Management section, click Manage service applications.
On the Service Applications page, click the name of the FAST Search Content SSA to which you want to add a host distribution rule.
On the Search Administration page, under Crawling, click Host Distribution Rules.
On the Host Distribution Rules page, click Add Distribution Rule.
Hinweis
If there is only one crawl database in the FAST Search Content SSA, you cannot add a host distribution rule, and this option will not appear.
On the Add Host Rule page, in the Hostname field, enter the name of the host to which this rule applies.
In the Distribution Configuration list, select the crawl database that you want to participate in the crawl of the host you specified in the Hostname field.
Click OK to add the new mirror query component to the job queue.
On the Host Distribution Rules page, click Apply Changes.
Click OK to apply the rule.
To remove a host distribution rule
In Central Administration, in the Application Management section, click Manage service applications.
On the Service Applications page, click the name of the FAST Search Content SSA from which you want to remove a host distribution rule.
On the Search Administration page, under Crawling, click Host Distribution Rules.
On the Host Distribution Rules page, point to the host distribution rule that you want to delete, click the arrow that appears, and then click Delete.
In the message box that appears, click OK to add the removal of the host distribution rule to the job queue.
On the Host Distribution Rules page, click Apply Changes.
Click OK to delete the rule.
