Configuration issues with a team project collection

The information in this article applies to:

  • Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010

  • Application-tier server

  • Team Foundation Server Complete Health Check

  • Team Foundation Server Framework Health Check

The Best Practices Analyzer tool for Team Foundation Server checks the state of each team project collection that is configured on the application-tier server. An error appears if the following condition is true:

  • The team project collection is not started

    To resolve this issue, check the state of the project collection, and restart it if it is stopped.

To restart a project collection

  1. Open the Team Foundation Administration Console.

    For more information, see Open the Team Foundation Administration Console [BPA].

  2. Under the Application Tier node, click Team Project Collection.

  3. Click the project collection to which the error message refers.

  4. On the General tab, click Start Team Project Collection.
