Open or close a storyboard

In Blend for Visual Studio 2012, you open a storyboard to turn on recording mode and add to the animation or other timelines that it contains. If you want to change the initial position or other initial properties of an object that is animated in a storyboard, you close the storyboard to return to the initial state of the object (and therefore turn off recording mode).

To open a storyboard

  1. In the Objects and Timeline panel, click Open a Storyboard JJ170339.d4531c86-5048-481c-a1ca-29af202d28e7(de-de,VS.110).png to view the storyboards that are in scope.

    The Storyboard picker appears.

    HinweisHinweis

If you cannot locate the storyboard that you want to open, you might be in the wrong scope of the document. For example, you cannot open a storyboard that is defined in a control template unless you are in the editing scope of that template. For more information, see Create or modify a template.

  2. Select the storyboard that you want to open from the Storyboard picker.

Blend opens the storyboard and enters timeline recording mode.

To close a storyboard

  • In the Objects and Timeline panel, click Close Storyboard JJ170339.4c066464-3a41-452d-b2e9-e95f6c5659ff(de-de,VS.110).png to return to the initial state of all objects in the current scope.
