CreateVisualBasicManifestResourceName.CreateManifestName Method

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Returns the Visual Basic-style manifest resource name that corresponds to the specified resource file.

MSBuild is now included in Visual Studio instead of the .NET Framework. You can use MSBuild 12.0 side-by-side with versions previously deployed with the .NET Framework.For more information, see What's New in MSBuild 12.0.

Parameters

  • fileName
    Type: System.String

    The name of the resource file from which to create the Visual Basic manifest name.

  • rootNamespace
    Type: System.String

    The root namespace of the resource file, typically taken from the project file. May be nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

  • dependentUponFileName
    Type: System.String

    The file name of the parent of the resource file (usually a .vb file). May be nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

  • binaryStream
    Type: System.IO.Stream

    File contents binary stream. May be nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Return Value

Type: System.String
The manifest resource name that corresponds to the specified resource file.
