Applies To: Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server Technical Preview, Windows Vista
Sending applications can receive confirmation that a message has been delivered by requesting acknowledgment messages from Message Queuing (or connector applications) and by requesting response messages from the receiving application. Both requests provide a mechanism for the sending application to confirm what happened to its messages after they were sent.
For example code on requesting and returning response messages, see Responding to Message Examples.
