Das Package-Element ist das XML-Element der obersten Ebene innerhalb einer Paketdatei.

Elemente und Attribute

Das Package-Element ist erforderlich. Es weist die folgenden Attribute auf.

Attribut	BESCHREIBUNG
Culture	Erforderlich. Dieses Attribut definiert die Kultur für dieses Paket, die die zu verwendende Sprache bestimmt. Es ist ein Schlüssel für das Strings-Element, das kulturspezifische Zeichenfolgen für Produktnamen und Fehlermeldungen während der Installation auflistet.
Name	Erforderlich. Dies ist der Name des Pakets, der Entwickler*innen innerhalb eines Tools wie Visual Studio angezeigt wird. Dieses Attribut ist ein Schlüssel für das Strings-Element, das ein String-Element enthalten sollte, dessen Eigenschaften Name und Culture so festgelegt sein müssen, dass sie den Eigenschaften Name und Culture von Package entsprechen.
LicenseAgreement	Optional. Hiermit wird der Namen der Datei im Distributionspaket angegeben, das die Lizenzbedingungen enthält. Diese Datei kann entweder das Nur-Text-Format (.txt) oder das Rich-Text-Format aufweisen. (.rtf)
