StringPrototype.substr(Object, Double, Object) Method

Creates a new string that contains the specified number of consecutive characters from the specified string, starting from the specified character position. Use substring(Object, Double, Object) instead, if you can.
This API supports the product infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

The first consecutive character to get.

The number of characters to get.
Returns
A new string that contains count
consecutive characters, starting at start
.
