AddListItemsToSharedList Service Operation - Campaign Management
Adds negative keywords to a negative keyword list, or negative sites to a website exclusion list.
The operation is only used for negative keywords and negative sites via shared lists. To add negative keywords directly to campaigns or ad groups, see AddNegativeKeywordsToEntities. To set or replace negative sites that are assigned directly to campaigns or ad groups, see SetNegativeSitesToCampaigns and SetNegativeSitesToAdGroups.
Tip
For an overview, see the Negative Keywords and Negative Sites technical guides.
Important
Only the users of the manager account (customer) that owns a website exclusion list (PlacementExclusionList) can update or delete the list, add or delete list items, and associate the list with ad accounts. If your ad account is associated with a website exclusion list that you do not own, you can disassociate the list from your account, but the list and list items are read-only. The owner of the list is determined by the association's SharedEntityCustomerId element.
If you have access to multiple manager accounts in an account hierarchy, the operation's results can vary depending on the CustomerId request header element that you set.
Request Elements
The AddListItemsToSharedListRequest object defines the body and header elements of the service operation request. The elements must be in the same order as shown in the Request SOAP.
Note
Unless otherwise noted below, all request elements are required.
Request Body Elements
Element | Description | Data Type |
---|---|---|
ListItems | The negative keywords to add to the negative keyword list, or the negative sites to add to the website exclusion list. The list can contain a maximum of 5,000 items per service call. |
SharedListItem array |
SharedEntityScope | Indicates whether the shared entity is available at the ad account (Account) or manager account (Customer) level. This element is optional and defaults to Account scope. The ad account scope is only applicable for negative keyword lists. Set this element to Customer to add negative sites to a website exclusion list in your manager account (customer) shared library. |
EntityScope |
SharedList | The negative keyword list or website exclusion list. If the SharedEntityScope is either empty or set to Account, and if the SharedList is a NegativeKeywordList or AccountNegativeKeywordList, then the ListItems must be negative keyword (NegativeKeyword) objects. If the SharedEntityScope is set to Customer, and if the SharedList is a PlacementExclusionList, then the ListItems must be negative site (NegativeSite) objects. |
SharedList |
Request Header Elements
Element | Description | Data Type |
---|---|---|
AuthenticationToken | The OAuth access token that represents the credentials of a user who has permissions to Microsoft Advertising accounts. For more information see Authentication with OAuth. |
string |
CustomerAccountId | The identifier of the ad account that owns or is associated with the entities in the request. This header element must have the same value as the AccountId body element when both are required. This element is required for most service operations, and as a best practice you should always set it. For more information see Get Your Account and Customer IDs. |
string |
CustomerId | The identifier of the manager account (customer) the user is accessing or operating from. A user can have access to multiple manager accounts. This element is required for most service operations, and as a best practice you should always set it. For more information see Get Your Account and Customer IDs. |
string |
DeveloperToken | The developer token used to access the Bing Ads API. For more information see Get a Developer Token. |
string |
Password | This element is reserved for internal use and will be removed from a future version of the API. You must use the AuthenticationToken element to set user credentials. | string |
UserName | This element is reserved for internal use and will be removed from a future version of the API. You must use the AuthenticationToken element to set user credentials. | string |
Response Elements
The AddListItemsToSharedListResponse object defines the body and header elements of the service operation response. The elements are returned in the same order as shown in the Response SOAP.
Response Body Elements
Element | Description | Data Type |
---|---|---|
ListItemIds | A list of long values that represents the identifiers for the list items that were added. Items of the list may be returned as null. For each list index where a list item was not added, the corresponding element will be null. |
long array |
PartialErrors | An array of BatchError objects that contain details for any request items that were not successful. The list of errors do not correspond directly to the list of items in the request. The list can be empty if there were no errors, or can include one or more error objects corresponding to each unsuccessful list item in the request. |
BatchError array |
Response Header Elements
Element | Description | Data Type |
---|---|---|
TrackingId | The identifier of the log entry that contains the details of the API call. | string |
