PostgreSQL images on Azure VM (Please see screenshot below) -- Are they managed like azure does OS updates etc for them ?

When we try to create a VM in azure , we get several options for PostgreSQL. I wanted to know if the azure VM on Postgre in below screenshot are managed .i.e . OS updates are taken care by Azure etc.

    Hi @MS Techie - The answer is basically yes to officially supported distros that are published to the Azure Marketplace. It is a requirement that the 3rd party provide fixes and updates: Image Update Cadence

    Please also see supported distributions and versions (link). If the image was brought to Azure as a VM image, that would not be subject to automatic updates. These are the instructions for Azure Marketplace PostgreSQL image: Install and configure PostgreSQL on Azure
