Based on the shared information in the screenshot, I have looked the backend logs and get to know that creation of static webapp failed while staticwebapp is trying to add the workflow.yml in the azure deVops repo and also you might not have written permissions on that repo. Could you please check whether you have write permissions on that repo and re-try the creation of static webapp. Feel free to reach back to me if you have any further questions on this.

My advise the error should be descriptive that would help us to trace down the problem.

RCA - Repository branch had PR policies
Solution

Disable branch policy and re-create the static web-app using portal; That works!

Enable branch policy and things would start working as usual.

I have the same problem. I have the necessary permission to push the repository; Before the error appeared, I noticed that the file "azure-static-web-apps-purple...yml" was created in the repository, in the branch I selected, when I created the StaticWebApp resource.
