This problem just started - MS Access WILL NOT allow me to do a "save as" in a query.

This is my first post, so I'm open to being corrected if I did something wrong.

A few facts and a disclaimer: I am older, retired and this is my personaI/home computer. I have been working with Microsoft Access since it first came out. However, I only deal with the clerical part of it and have not done any "behind the keyboard" stuff. (I'm good at what I need to do but that is where it starts and ends.)

(I work from a PC) With that said, a few days ago I went to a query, made a few query-type changes and clicked "save as." (Object not database)

When I went to look for the file it wasn't there. Thinking I had not done something right, I did it again - same results.

I went back through older MS Access files and tried it there with the same results.

I can make changes within the file (Ron to Ronald for example) and it will take it, but it won't take a save as.

When I go to Table I can do a save as and the new table name will show up.

I've also done this with forms and reports and they accept the save as too.

Prior to February 8th I had never had any issues with a simple save as.

I've been in touch with Microsoft Support (6 reps over the last two days) and this is what they've done:

(I thought I'd get an Access person, but, to me, they just didn't seem to know whole table, query, form stuff.)

They uninstalled and installed Office 365. Still didn't work.

They went in and made a tweak (I saw "disabled" but nothing more - sorry) and had me do a new query and after the initial

save, to do a save as. It worked, and they thought it was fixed, but it didn't work on an existing query when I tried to do a

save as.

I don't know, I don't know, I don't know and am looking for help.

Thanks in advance.
