There are two users at my firm who have been experiencing an issue with their Outlook where it will change settings in their view several times a day. Things that change include font settings, column settings, as well as the reading pane. For one of the users it is noted that one of the steps that typically causes this would be switching from Calendar back to Mail. The issue is temporarily resolved by using Reset View, but returns. Current version is Office365 16.0.15928.20282 in Cached mode, though for one of the users this has been an issue for almost 6 months, meaning it has persisted across several Office versions.

Troubleshooting steps taken so far:

Office repair

Office reinstall

Creating a new mail profile

Running Outlook.exe /cleanviews as well as Outlook.exe /resetnavpane

Toggling between Online and Cached

Creating a custom profile out of their desired settings - even after doing this, the changes occur.

For one of the users, the issue started occurring after having a new computer built for him, so I suspect these issues could be fixed by creating a new Windows user profile, but I would prefer avoiding that if there is a less invasive fix.

    Hi @Chris,

Based on my experience, sometimes issues like this might be caused by 3rd-party add-ins that interferes with Outlook. Given this, you can have a look at both the affected users' Outlook and see if they are using any add-ins in common in Outlook. Try disabling them if they exist and check the result.

If the issue persists, considering that for one of the users, issue started after he got the new computer, you can compare the build number of his Windows OS with other normal users and see if they are the same.
