I'm trying to add 100 users on a resource or conference room mailbox account in our organization and I would like to ask if anyone here has a PowerShell script that can help add multiple users at the same time.

Would you please clarify on "add 100 users on a resource or conference room mailbox account"?

Do you mean add delegate permission like full access or send as?

Yes that is exactly I'm trying to perform but I'm looking for most efficient way to add these 100 users with Full Access to a resource mailbox using powershell script and csv file.

Thanks for the clarification!

Once you have prepared a csv file which has a format like:

You can connect to Exchange Online Powershell with an account which has admin permission and use the following syntax to bulk assign permission:

Import-csv C:\temp\delegators.csv | foreach{Add-MailboxPermission -Identity <enter the room mailbox email address here> -User $_.EmailAddress -AccessRights FullAccess -InheritanceType All}

I forgot to ask another question.

What if I want to give these users with both Full Access, Send As and Send on Behalf? What parameters and values do I need to add on the script you provided?

Hi,

In my opnion it may not be recommended to assign both Send as and Send on Behalf permission to one user.

It may possibly cause issues.

So it would better be either Send As or Send on Behalf.

The corresponding cmdlet is also different.

To bulk add Send As permission:

Import-csv C:\temp\delegators.csv | foreach{Add-RecipientPermission -Identity <enter the room mailbox email address here> -Trustee $_.EmailAddress -AccessRights SendAs -Confirm:$false}

To bulk add Send on Behalf permission:

Import-csv C:\temp\delegators.csv | foreach{Set-Mailbox -Identity <enter the room mailbox email address here> -GrantSendOnBehalfTo $_.EmailAddress}

You can prepare two csv files (which users to assign Send As, which users to assign Send on Behalf) and modify the Import-csv C:\temp\delegators.csv part to use the corresponding csv file.
