How to translate play/pause tooltip on Azure Media Player

The azure media player supports localization for most controls but not all. In my case, I would like to translate the tooltip "Press space key to play/pause the video" by the inputted language.

Is there any way to override it?

Can this be fixed in a future update to the azure media player?

You can customize the tooltip text for the Azure Media Player by modifying the aria-label attribute of the play/pause button. Here's an example of how to do this in JavaScript:

var myPlayer = amp('my-video', { /* options */ }); myPlayer.ready(function() { var playPauseButton = document.querySelector('.amp-controlbar .amp-playpause-control'); playPauseButton.setAttribute('aria-label', 'Press space key to play/pause the video'); });

You can replace the text "Press space key to play/pause the video" with the translated text in the language of your choice.

@SnehaAgrawal-MSFT it did not work. I used the Azure Media Player version 2.3.10 so I found the element by 'vjs-controls-enabled' class and modified 'title' attribute (not aria-label attribute) with customized text

var playPauseButton = document.querySelector('.vjs-controls-enabled'); if(playPauseButton){ playPauseButton.setAttribute('title', 'This is customize Press space key to play/pause the video'); }

Even then, when the video was first started or every time I clicked the Play/Pause button, the message reverted back to 'Press space key to play/pause the video'. I believe this text is fixed in the AMP library https://amp.azure.net/libs/amp/2.3.10/azuremediaplayer.min.js.

It looks like I have to look into it further.

@Phong Tsan Quay Thanks for reply! There is a “language” option you can pass to AMP during initialization, you can see a sample of that here: Azure Media Player

@SnehaAgrawal-MSFT I did use the "language" option, almost texts are translated successfully, except for the phrase "Press space key to play/pause the video". You can see my image below
