I don't really know if I'm in the right place but I need to check compatibility on CPUs. I use windows server 2019 with hyper-V cluster, with AMD EPYC 7002 and 7003 series together. Unfortunately, I could not migrate my virtual machines between those servers online. I can do the live migration in the same families without any problems but virtual machines must be turned off between these two series. Is there any way to fix this? I should know if there is a restriction to an online migration of virtual machines when the CPUs belong to different series?

    Hello there,

You may try Processor compatibility mode in Hyper-V.

Hyper-V offers processor compatibility mode, a feature that was first introduced in Windows Server 2008 R2. Processor compatibility mode allows you to move a running virtual machine (VM) or save state between virtualization hosts that use different generations of processors. This feature works by disabling many modern processor features, which can affect VM performance. This document provides details about processor compatibility mode for Hyper-V.
