I also encountered this problem in the official Microsoft RDP client for Android (Error code: 0x104 ). And what is most interesting, this error is only on new Xiaomi Mi10 and POCO smartphones with MIUI 14 (Android 13)

There is a feeling that there is no certificate in Xiaomi smartphones or it is blocked on Microsoft's side.

When I switched from Samsung to Xiaomi Mi 10, I also encountered this problem. It worked and still works on the Samsung A40.

I checked on 2 different servers (Windows Server 2008 r2 and Server 2016 Standart) in the middle of the network.

It works on Samsung smartphones, not on Xiaomi and Poco. Settings and accounts are the same.

    Hello there,

Have you made any recent updates that you are aware of on this device? If so try uninstalling them and check if this sorts out the issue

This error means the Remote Desktop client can't find the remote PC. Consequently, users can't remotely access the PCs they need to. This is how you can resolve error code 0x104 in Windows 11/10.

In order to fix it, please select Start, Settings, Network and Internet then from the right side, select Advanced network settings. Next, select Advanced sharing settings and enable Network Discovery for the current profile.

Network Discovery is a feature that enables your PC to see networked devices and be visible to others. That's another feature that must be activated for remote desktop connections to work right.

Hope this resolves your Query !!

Same error happened to me today with a Xiomi Redmi 12S running Android 13 while trying to connect to my Windows Server 2012. No issue whatsoever when trying to connect to Windows 10. It is a problem with the Microsoft RDP app related to the Xiaomi devices. To fix the issue I installed another RDP client app called "Remote Desktop Manager" and worked flawlessly on all my devices. Microsoft please check and correct your app, it was working previously!
