Can Azure reserved instances be payed with Microsoft for Startups credits?

Hi,

Let's assume that I have an Azure subscription already, used some virtual machines for a while, and I purchased Azure Reserved Instances on these VMs, so I can have some discount. Now I applied to Microsoft for Startups, successfully received a bunch of Azure credits to spend. Is it possible to pay the Reserved Instances with these Startups credits?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately you cannot purchase reserved instances using Microsoft for Startups credits.

    The credits are delivered via Azure Sponsorship Offer subscription, which isn't one of the subscription offers that is allowed to purchase reserved instances. Below is related excerpt from sponsorship offer page:
