How to make Outlook desktop app able to import an .ics file with multiple events automatically

I have a system that sends emails with iCal (invite.ics) attached.

If I send the calendar (VCALENDAR) with the REQUEST method and it contains only one event (whether recurring or not) everything goes well, i.e., the user receives the email in Outlook and the event (recurring or not) is automatically imported into the calendar.

If I send the same file but it has one more event, when the user receives the email only the first event will be imported into the calendar, why?

If I generate an .ics file with several separate events (recurring or not) and if I change the method to PUBLISH, the email takes the invite.ics file but does not automatically import them into the calendar, however if I import them manually they are imported correctly.

This procedure needed to be automatic without the need for the user to import the file manually.

Does anyone have an idea how to resolve this issue?

Thank you very much.

    Hi @Filipe B ,

    Welcome to our forum!

If I send the calendar (VCALENDAR) with the REQUEST method and it contains only one event (whether recurring or not) everything goes well, i.e., the user receives the email in Outlook and the event (recurring or not) is automatically imported into the calendar. If I generate an .ics file with several separate events (recurring or not) and if I change the method to PUBLISH

What do you mean about "REQUEST method" and "change the method to PUBLISH"? Are they the settings in your own system?

As i know, to import .ics files to Outlook, we can try the following steps manually:

    User's image

According to "the user receives the email in Outlook and the event (recurring or not) is automatically imported into the calendar", if possible, please provide more information about how it was automatically imported into the calendar.

In addition, if you have an Exchange, Microsoft 365, or Outlook.com account, you can send a sharing invitation to other users so they can view your calendar in their own Calendar list in Outlook desktop client. If you need, please refer to: Share an Outlook calendar with other people.
