mdt with win os 2004 able to image machines still wanting 1809

Question

Hello, as above i have some machines i want to image with 2004 im going to update mdt and windows 10 adk for this.
However i have some machines that i still want to image with 1809 so my question is if i update mdt and the adk to 2004 is it backwards compatiable to 1809 ?

i will have to different TS for 2004 and 1809

The following table lists the versions of Windows 10 that you can use as a client with different versions of Configuration Manager.

Yes, as far as I know all latest release of ADK has backward compatibility however I would recommend to use version that is supported by windows OS lifecycle ( anything lesser than 1709 is not supported by MS) .

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

As agreed with GARY,older Windows with newer ADK always works,and it could be compatible with version 1809. In my lab, we ran MECM 2002 with ADK 2004 and deployed the 1809/1903 image.
