Open Device Manager and locate both the camera as well as the microphone. Right click on each on them and select to uninstall. Reboot and let the OS to detect the hardware.

Now either download the related drivers from the support sites of the manufacturers and install them accordingly or, you can do the same via Windows Update.

    Hello

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble with your microphone and camera drivers. Here are some steps you can try:

Check for updates: Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. If there are no updates for your camera, try to select Advanced options > Optional updates, and look for any driver updates for your camera.

Restart your PC: If you haven’t restarted your device since the camera stopped working, you should do so.

Test your camera with the Camera app: Select Start, then choose Camera from your apps.

Check for a camera switch or button on your device: Some laptops and portable devices have a physical switch or button that turns the camera on or off.

Check your settings: Make sure Camera access is turned on. Also, ensure that Let apps access your camera is turned on.

Update your audio adapter driver: Go to Device Manager > Expand Sound, video and game controllers > Right click on your audio adapter > Click Update Driver Software > Click Browse my computer for driver software > Click Let my pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Choose the driver > Click Next to update.

Run Hardware troubleshooter: Type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic in Command Prompt (run as Administrator), press enter, click Next on the Hardware troubleshooter wizard, then restart PC.
