How to assign a task to other company partners in word on SharePoint?

It is common to write command, tag team member in same company and assign tasks. However, I could not tag people in other company though they have access to the document on SharePoint. I try to type all email address to test, whereas it is in vain. Is there any solution for it?

    Unfortunately,This feature only works for people who are in the same Microsoft 365 group as you. If you want to assign tasks to external users, you need to add them to your group first. You can do this by following these steps.
