I have a SharePoint online project site where I have created multiple enterprise custom fields and lookup tables along with the SharePoint designer workflow.

I want to migrate this site collection on to the production server online. I have tried to take a backup of my site collection using SharePoint Online Management Shell and tried Export, Backup, Save commands but all are deprecated and not recognized.

I am totally stuck and not being able to move my site collection to the production.

Please guide me the way I could migrate the site collection, this is my first online project to migrate/deploy online project.

    thanks for response yanli.

Yes, the steps you shown are same but the thing is the site I am using right now for development is for UAT purpose. But I will deploy this project on another site URL and the tenant (admin center) will remain same.

    Hi @Noman Soofi ,

I have some questions. If you are under the same tenant, then you can use it directly. Why do you need to migrate? Or do you want to copy this site?

If it is a copy, the currently available methods are as follows:

    1.Save site as template.

    Create template:

    • Click Save as Template in Site Settings, type a name, select Include Content, and click OK.
    • It may take a while to work on it. Go to the Solutions Gallery to check it. Click the gear in the top right->Site Settings->Solutions under Web Designer Galleries. 121101
    • Download the template to your local.

Then, you can create a new site collection with that template:

    • Create a new site collection in SharePoint admin center, and make sure select under Custom tab.
    • Access the newly created site collection via the URL. When you access it for the first time, you’ll be prompted to select one template. Click Solution Gallery. 121102
    • Upload the previously downloaded site template file, and click Activate to activate it. After the uploaded site template is activated, click BROWSE, and click the icon of site collection to go back to the template pick page.
    • Click Custom, click the site template name, then click OK.
    1. Using PowerShell.

    1. Use third-party tools.

    Hope this can help you.

You are correct Yanli but the first thing is my site collection is Project Web App instead of team or communication site and we can not save site as template the PWA site.

Second thing is copy the site collection using PowerShell is possible but in the copying process the enterprise custom fields, lookup tables and designer workflows will not be moved or copied to the target environment.

That's the challenge I am face right now, otherwise there are lots of options available as third party tools.
