PowerBi Service to Azure VM Sql

Good Morning,

I am trying to connect to a SQL thats hosted on a Azure VM.

Can anyone confirm that Service Tags and Ports I need to add to allow the connection?

Hello, @Andrew Bilham !

I've updated the tag to get this in front of the correct people. It looks like TCP 1433, 4022, 135, 1434, and UDP 1434 are used:

No worries! I just updated the tag to SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.

@Oury Ba-MSFT Yes is a azure VM with a SQL server installed. not a AzureSQL And i am trying to connect using powerbi service (power query via a dataflow)

You will need to have gateway installed in order to connect from PBI Service. Installed and configured PBI Gateway. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-install Power BI expects a gateway for on-prem SQL Server connector. If not provided, you may encounter an error if you try to create a connection on PQO. Connection could not be created. This may mean it is not accessible from this network or at this URI, or that a gateway is required to access this data source.
