Understanding Premium SSD v2 Limitations

Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade some of my Premium SSD disks to Premium SSD v2. However, it seems like Premium SSD v2 disks have quite a few limitations. What is the best way to identify which of those limitations apply to my disks? Please see below for a further explanation on some of the limitations:

-Azure Disk Encryption isn't supported for VMs with Premium SSD v2 disks, and encryption at rest is recommended - In Azure portal, how do I identify which, if any, of existing disks currently use Azure Disk Encryption?

-Premium SSD v2 disks can't be attached to VMs in availability sets - in Azure portal, how do I identify which, if any, of my existing disks are currently attached to VMs in availability sets?

-Azure Site Recovery isn't supported for v2 - in Azure portal, how do I identify which, if any, of my existing disks are currently using Azure Site Recovery?

-Size of a premium SSD v2 disk can't be expanded without either deallocating or detaching VM - does this mean we detach, expand disk size, and then reallocate the VM?

-Premium SSD v2 does not support host caching - In Azure portal, how can I identify which, if any, of my existing disks are currently enabling host caching?

    As wre have already disscued about the first scenario let me continue with the rest,

    fore the availability Sets

    • Go to the "Virtual machines" section in the Azure portal.
    • Select the virtual machine.
    • Under "Settings," click on "Availability."
    • If the VM is part of an availability set, you will see the availability set information.

    reg the azure Site Recovery:

    • In the Azure portal, navigate to the "Recovery Services vault" associated with your VM.
    • Under "Site Recovery," check if there are any ongoing replications.

    for disk Size Expansion:

    • You can check the size of your premium SSD disks under the "Disks" section of your VM.
    • To expand the disk size, it's generally recommended to deallocate the VM, then expand the disk size, and finally reallocate the VM.

    and finally for host Caching:

    • In the Azure portal, navigate to the "Disks" section of your VM.
    • Check the "Host Caching" column to see if caching is enabled for each disk.
