The retirement of Azure Database Migration Service (classic) for SQL Server scenarios requires migrating to the latest Azure Database Migration Service version. However, the New-AzDataMigrationService command still creates the classic version. What PowerShell command can I use to create the newer version of Azure Database Migration Service? Ref:

    Hi

    •, Thanks for your patience.

Below reply is given by the internal team:

For latest version of DMS service “New-AzDataMigrationSqlService” can be used. New-AzDataMigrationSDisplay is for DMS(classic) only (refer documentation).   You can share the ready to use DMS templates for migrating with PowerShell / Azure CLI: Migrate databases at scale using Azure PowerShell / CLI (Preview) | Microsoft Learn

Let us know if further queries. Thanks
