Does Azure custom vision detect object apply data augmentation for training images?

Hello, I'm using azure custom vision object detection to train an object detector on my images, I'd like to know if during training custom vision applies data augmentation on the training samples or is it necessary to do it ourselves outside the tool? If ever the answer is yes, can we have control over the data augmentation settings applied? thank you lysa

Hello. As far as I'm aware that process flow is not customisable. Hence you have to deal with data augmentation outside of Azure CV.

What exact data augmentation techniques you are looking for with object detection? Please share more details regarding your use case.

We cannot share the internal process settings. However, my suggestion is you could try adding those augmentations and test on your benchmark set to see if it helps or not.
