How to access single server Session Hosts in RDS farm?

Hello folks,

RDS Farm was deployed during these days. This scenario is Windows Server 2019 Standard Edition based.

There are the following components up and running:

1. Single RD Connection broker, RD Web
2. Two RD Session host

All VM are located in the same VLAN and roaming user profile is also enabled.

By carrying out some tests, I noticed that it is not possible to access individual 'Session Host' servers to perform maintenance (e.g. installation of applications).

Is it possible to define users who can access the individual Session Host servers without removing them from the RDS Farm?

I would just access to single RD Session Host for maintenance.

At the moment "Domain User" group is allowed to establish RDP through RD Connection Broker.

Hello Federico Coppola,

• You can try connecting directly to the IP address or hostname of the desired session host. Open the Remote Desktop Connection client and enter the IP address or hostname in the "Computer" field. This method may work if your deployment allows direct connections to session hosts.
• You may also use PowerShell to establish a direct connection to a specific session host. Open PowerShell on your client machine and use the following command: mstsc.exe /v:sessionhost
  Replace sessionhost with the actual IP address or hostname of the session host you want to connect to.
