Saving and deletion of Windows Mail IMAP messages before computer repair - Windows 11
I need to remove emails before my Windows 11 desktop is serviced. At least some of the emails are stored in .dat files in the following location:-
c:\user\me\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.windowscommunications_8wekyb3d8bbwe\localstate\files\SO\4 in subfolders attachments and efmdata
maybe some are also stored elsewhere - i dońt know.
I want to save these emails off and remove them from the desktop.
(Note: the linked email account is gmail where most of my emails are stored, however many have also downloaded onto the hard (ssd) drive on my desktop.)
What can I do?
p.s the screen is broken I have only the left third of it visible and so file explorer and a command screen are the only easy things i can use.
