Timeout error in SharePoint search

Dear members, We have SP 2013. We are using vti_bin/search.asmx service in .net utility. It's exe runs daily to pull the profiles from SharePoint. We are experiencing connection closed or timeout error in the code. This started happening all of sudden so need help to find out the cause from community.
