Hi guys,

i created a virtual MDT server to deploy windows to another virtual machine. This project is virtualized with VMware ESXI 6.7.0 .

I got an already existing deployment share, so i changed the name of the server, everywhere i had to change it (CustomSettings.ini, Bootstrap.ini, UNC-Path); I dont use WDS for PXE-Boot because I dont have a DHCP server, so I copy the created Boot-Image to the VM everytime I recreated it...very annoying but not my problem:)

When I boot the VM from this image i can enter the wizard and can insert my static IP and credentials, but then i get this Error:

A connection to the deployment share (\name\DeploymentShare$) could not be made. The following networking device did not have a driver installed. PCI... <-- here comes the ID of my NIC.

I am confused, because if I look in the device manager, the NIC has already installed the network driver "vmxnet3" (i am using vmxnet3-Adapter).

So i extracted the driver, inserted it in MDT - OutofBox-Drivers and regenerated my Boot-Images. (I noticed that the driver got installed into the Boot-Image while reading the course of the wizard). I copied it to my VM, booted it AND...same error.

What am I failing at?

Thanks for Helping

Hello, so i noticed that i always used the same Image as a Boot-Image for the VM, because I forgot to upload the new image to the datastore...
