Is there an offical Statement about requirements to SYNC - not only access - Sharepointfiles without an license for external guests?

Second question:

For Microsoft useres as Sharepoint Client to sync:

Is Business OneDrive needed and must it be registered in same Tenant of sharepoint or could users with license in foreign Tenant sync with there license?

Thanks in advice for offical statemants in this case!

External user can sync shared contents with following conditions:

1.External user should have license for OneDrive in another SharePoint tenant. The external account should be an organization account, like emily@tenant.onmicrosoft.com. It cannot be a Microsoft account or personal account.

2.Shared contents must be shared at the site or folder level. External user can't sync files that are shared individually.

3.Shared contents cannot be shared by an Anyone link (also known as "anonymous access" link).

Thank you for your clear statment Emily! I am very confused as some weeks ago also guests without license could sync. Dont know if there have been internal changes at Microsofts Serverfarm. So Syncing should be possible having an license although from other Tenant. My last tests in an Testenvironment with Cross-Tenant-sync to guests on both sides have only been sucessfull on 4th of April, and from further Test onging from 5th of April did not work again, as One-Drive reclaims Errors.

I did full client reset (VM), but there is always this error i have only a German Screenshot from:User's image

So at the moment it is only possible to sync for internal users of Tenant with license. It is a bit anoing not knowing if Microsoft has temporary errors or changed policies. Personaly i try not to change anything until something is clear to me. But here somthing does not work like described. Do you have any further ideas, as i have no glue anymore. Could MFA disturb One-Drive if using from Guest-Account?

Kind regards and thank you in advice,
