About Azure for Students...

I forgot to turn off the virtual machines I created for learning about video encoding and inadvertently added a large disk, not realizing it would consume all of my $100 credit. I am requesting that you please add $100 back to my Azure student account, as I was unaware of this.

Currently, I cannot afford any subscription, such as a pay-as-you-go service, because I have no income. Additionally, our national currency has significantly devalued against the dollar recently, to the point where 100 dollars is equivalent to a monthly salary for an employee.

I simply did not recognize which CPUs in my subscription were free and which were not, so I am asking for a second chance as this all occurred accidentally and was not intentional due to my inexperience. It's my first year studying computer science and my first-time using Microsoft Azure. Having my subscription reinstated would greatly aid my education and future career. Thank you.

Hello @Karim Mohamed Abdallah Mohamed Thank you for posting your concern on Microsoft Q&A platform.

Based on the information you provided, I understand that you unknowingly added a large disk because of which your Azure for student subscription is now running out of balance. This issue requires account verification and billing validation to initiate refund for your Azure for student subscription. This can be better handled as a support request to Azure billing and subscription management support. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Here is the link - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request to create support case.

FYI: Azure Billing and Subscription Management support is included in the Basic Support Plan without any charge.

    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/plans/

Please create a New Support Request in the portal and choose Issue type: Billing Problem type: Refund request, then click Next. Once it shows suggested solutions, DO NOT CLICK the Request a refund button, click Return to support request in upper left corner as shown below:

azure support request Return to support request

Click Next, continue filling out information, make sure your email/phone are correct, and finish creating the case.

If you are unable to create a support request, I suggest you try the following options:

Twitter : Connect with @AzureSupport on Twitter for answers, support, and to connect with Azure experts. best place to raise a request

Few Customers are using the Microsoft REST api Support Tickets - REST API (Azure Support) | Microsoft Learn to create Support request.

    OR

You can call global customer service - https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2 to raise a support request on your behalf to help you connect with Azure billing and subscription management support.
