I need to know why my laptop won't allow Remote Desktop to be uninstalled. It just sends me to a page that tells me what I have already done. How do you get this crap off or uninstalled?

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

If you want to uninstall Remote Desktop Connection, you can follow these steps:

In the Start menu, search for "Settings" and open it.

Select Apps, then click Installed Apps.

Find or search for "Remote Desktop Connection," select the three dots on the right, and click "Uninstall."

    Confirm to uninstall the app.

If the app prompts you to complete the installation, restart your computer.

At the same time, you can also use administrator rights to enter the command at the command prompt: mstsc /uninstall /noPromptBeforeRestart to uninstall.

Please refer to the link: Uninstall and reinstall Remote Desktop Connection | Microsoft Learn

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu

Hi, thank you for responding. I've tried your solution however the option to Uninstall is grayed out and won't work. Any other suggestions would be great. Thank you.
