How to fix "column width cannot be less than 1.27cm" error when reverting to Letter format in MS word

Question

In MS Word, when changing from custom paper size to default letter format, I'm getting "column width cannot be less than 1.27cm" error. Any insights what could be the causes of this error and how to resolve it?

Go to the Layout tab.

In the Columns section, click More Columns.

In the Columns window, adjust the Number of columns to your preference. If you want to keep the same number of columns, you'll need to increase the Width value for each column slightly. Make sure the new width is at least 1.27cm.

Click OK to confirm the changes.
