Have you looked at the deployment logs? If not, please enable the diagnostic logging and review the deployment log by following this documentation.

Alternatively, you can make use of deployment detector under Diagnose and solve problems of your app service to review and understand why the deployment got failed.

Also, try restarting the app service and retry the deployment. let me know if you are still facing the issue.

can only speek for us. But this is what the Activity log says

We've also checked several tools within Diagnose and solve problems such as "Deployment failure analysis", but they don't find any issues. Which makes sense because the error occurs when trying to connect the Azure repo through deployment center before any deployment is started.
