Our organization uses a hybrid cloud model. Just as it says in the title. I have a new user starting, I created the account in AD then sync to Office 365, but the user does not show up at all. There are no errors noted but I did see them listed at Projections on one of they syncs

The easiest way to address this issue is to use the troubleshooter tool available here: Azure AD Troubleshooter. Alternatively, you can follow a more manual approach by following these steps: Manual Troubleshooting Steps.

Verify is the user is in an OU that is in the scope of the Azure AD Connect (begin by checking the object properties in the Metaverse).

Look at the connectors tab and ensure that at least two connectors are listed. Verify the join type. If there are not two connectors listed, the object is likely filtered.

    Hi @Pham Tien Dung ,

To add to Amira's answer, there are a few options I can think of off the bat that could be preventing the synchronization, if no errors occur:

    • You might be filtering by a group that does not have any users in it ("Filter objects to synchronize by group"). You can validate your filtering configurations in the Microsoft Entra Connect wizard under "Customize synchronization options" > Filtering.
    • You have an existing user in Office 365 and rather than not being synchronized, the on-premises user is not being matched to the corresponding cloud user due to an incorrect or conflicting UPN value.
    • If you're synchronizing to Exchange, msExchRecipientTypeDetails should be set to 1.

If these options don't apply, I would recommend sharing the synchronization settings from the wizard and trying the steps Amira listed.
