I've been coding VBA for 25 years. Now I need to deploy a word ribbon with buttons that will drive some sophisticated Word templates. I have read dozens of MS documentation files and still do not clearly understand what code goes in the ribbon call back, what code goes in the button click event, and what code goes in the word template file. Is there an article that anyone can point me to that clearly articulates the relationship between these various components in the environment? Ultimately I'm seeking to trigger code in the Word template file sited in the Word start up folder by clicking the button on the ribbon tab.
