Hello, I was wondering if anyone here could help me solve this odd problem I've been having.

I've been using the Remote Desktop Android app to remote into my home server (running Windows 10 Pro), and it's been flawless until recently when the virtual keyboard stopped functioning correctly. The space bar no longer does anything, neither do number keys 2-5. If I mash the 1 key repeatedly it will input several different symbols. Number keys 6-9 work normally, and the 0 key works similarly to the 1 key.

I'm honestly at a loss what could be causing this issue, especially considering it was working fine just a few weeks ago, and neither the server nor the android app have installed any recent updates. When using the Android app to connect to a different computer, it works normally so I guess the fault has to be with my server somehow, but I can't figure out what's changed. The keyboard language on the server is set to ENG-US (all language options are set to this), which is what it's always been. I don't really know what else to do to try and fix this, and I haven't had any luck searching for a solution to this problem.

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful, thanks.

The malfunctioning virtual keyboard on your Remote Desktop app is definitely strange.

Sign out of the Remote Desktop session on your Android device and reboot your home server. Then, try reconnecting and see if the keyboard works normally.

Consider reinstalling the Remote Desktop app on your Android device. This can eliminate any corrupted data or bugs within the app itself.

    Hello,

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1.Restart both your Android device and Windows server to clear any temporary glitches that might be affecting the keyboard functionality.

2.Try uninstalling the app from your Android device and then reinstalling it.Rule out the possibility of application file corruption.

3.Go to the Windows server and check the keyboard settings. Ensure that there are no changes in the keyboard layout or input methods that might cause this issue.

4.Test with a Different Virtual Keyboard App.To isolate the issue, try using a different virtual keyboard app on your Android device to see if the problem persists.

5.Check the Event Viewer on the Windows server for any related error messages or warnings that could give a clue as to what is happening.
