Hi

I am looking at setting up alerts on the managed instance based of

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssms/agent/create-an-alert-using-an-error-number?view=sql-server-ver16

where it states it applies to MI

However I encounter error.

I need to setup alerts for error code 823-825

and severity 016-025

How can I achieve that

Sorry for the issue you are facing with alerts in SQL MI. Seems like this is not a bug after checking internally. I believe that was a misunderstanding from my end.

After going through the following docs, the error number you would like to create alerts on is not supported in Azure SQL MI.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/errors-events/mssqlserver-825-database-engine-error?view=sql-server-ver16

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/errors-events/database-engine-error-severities?view=sql-server-ver16

I would suggest raising this feature request at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/search/?q=azure+sql

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    Regards,

    Oury
