How to preview data for the sample dataset. I am getting the error highlighted below and how to show me the column names.

Specifically, I am getting the following errors in the Designer of Azure ML Studio, while creating a new pipeline.

I cannot preview data for the sample dataset. I am getting the error highlighted below. preview_data

The error "Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'connectionString')" occurs when there is an issue with the connection string to the data source. This error can occur when the workspace is in a virtual network and the sample dataset is an Azure Global dataset, which cannot satisfy all virtual network environments. To resolve this issue, you can use a public workspace to run the sample pipeline to get to know how to use the designer and then replace the sample dataset with your own dataset in the workspace within the virtual network.

If your data is stored in a virtual network (VNet) and you want to preview it, you need to enable the workspace managed identity of the datastore. To do this, go to the related datastore and click "Update authentication" and select "Yes" to enable workspace managed identity. You can find more information on how to use datastores and datasets in a virtual network in the Azure Machine Learning documentation.

Additionally, you can register datasets in Azure Machine Learning to enable advanced features that help you manage your data. When you register a dataset, you can take full advantage of advanced data features like versioning and tracking and data monitoring. You can register existing datasets programmatically with the SDK or visually in Azure Machine Learning studio. Your registered datasets can be found in the component palette, under Datasets. To use a dataset, drag and drop it onto the pipeline canvas. Then, connect the output port of the dataset to other components in the canvas.

Once after trying above, if issue still persists, I request you to raise a support case through Azure portal.

Hi dupammi,

Thanks for your prompt response.

The workspace is not in a virtual network. (Or can you show me how to check it, i am just connecting over the public internet). The dataset I am using is one of the sample datasets from the components in designer. So, I don't think I need to register it.

I am new to Azure ML and this is my first pipeline i was trying to build with a sample dataset. Hoping you might have a suggestion in this case.
