Server 2016 Updates [HRESULT = 0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND]

Hi,

Updates on Windows 106 Servers are keep failing and CMS log show this error

[HRESULT = 0x80070002 - ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND]

I have done following

  • Sfc /scannow
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Run this command to remove any corrupted packages

Get-WindowsPackage -Online | where { $.PackageState -eq 'Staged'} | foreach { Remove-WindowsPackage -PackageName $.PackageName -Online -NoRestart }

Still seeing same issue.

Server 2016 is running on Vsphere ESXi 6.5 and later (VM version 13)
