What HTML render engine is planned for Outlook 2024?

The Microsoft Outlook app (the installed app and not the web version) has had issues rendering HTML message for very many years. This has been caused by Outlook using the Microsoft Word HTML engine rather than a maintained and up-to-date HTML rendering engine like Microsoft Edge (Chromium).

The current Outlook (2021) still suffers from this inaccurate rendering issue. Will the soon to be released Outlook 2024 finally fix this long outstanding issue?

Hi @ChristyZhang-MSFT ,

I have added my post to a thread in the forum you suggested. I am concerned by the wording of your comment given the initial releases for Office 2024 are already out. I would have thought that a Microsoft staff member should have been able to get an answer to my question from that test product.

I was told by Microsoft to purchase Office 2021 to address this HTML issue only to find that the problem remained. I don't want to be pushed into the same mistake with Office 2024.
