Verifying multiple network connections between MSFT datacenters?

Question

What is the best way to evidence (to our auditors) that our datacenters are connected to each other via redundant fiber (i.e. mesh)? I am familiar with Azure AZs, but can't locate anything that I can provide that verifies that the datacenters in a specific Azure region are connected this way.

I understand that you would like to know more about how Azure Datacenters are connected.

I am afraid we will be unable to share the exact architecture of the actual Physical Design.

The redundancy is designed and built into the network from the physical aspect all the way up to control protocol.

If you are interested in a specific service's availability and resiliency options, I can share the respect service/product's information.

Microsoft Backbone network as a whole uses private fiber (sometimes called dark fiber) for our metro, terrestrial, and submarine paths and we have many physical networking paths with automatic routing around failures for optimal reliability.
