The edge side bar search feature seems to ignore the proxy

Question

We use a proxy script which blocks for example you tube.

If we search for something such as a music video in the edge side bar search videos can be played effectively bypassing the proxy filter, not great in a school.

I get that we can disable the side bar but thats not an ideal solution as the search sidebar is useful

I can provide you with another solution that can also meet your needs. You can use the "Block Access URL List" policy, which can restrict access by adding some blocked URL lists. You can refer to the link.
