Use laptop for second display

Question

I am trying to connect a laptop to a PC as a second monitor. The laptop is an Asus ZenBook Pro Duo, and the PC graphics card is a GeForce GTX 1070 8GB. The card has several ports, so I have tried connecting them using HDMI and Display Port lines with no success. Going through the display settings on both the laptop and PC was no help either. There is Windows 11 Pro on both machines. Please help!

Generally speaking, the HDMI port of a laptop is used to output data and does not support input data function, so it cannot be connected to the host as a display. Its display can only be used as a dedicated machine. If you want to set up your laptop as a spare second display, you can use the built-in Windows function to do this wirelessly.
