Hello,
I have a doubt about DNS TXT record asuid.{domain}.

Should I keep it while the app is active? Or I can delete it after the application validation was done?

Regards,
Marcelo Castro

    Hello Marcelo Martins De Castro,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.

    Problem

I understand that you are having doubt about DNS TXT record asuid.{domain}. Wether to delete or leave it.

    Solution

The DNS TXT record asuid.{domain} is used for domain ownership verification, typically in the context of application validation for services like Google App Engine or other similar platforms. You should keep the asuid.{domain} DNS TXT record as long as the application or service requiring the validation is active. Deleting the record may result in the service being unable to verify the domain ownership, which could cause disruptions in service or even the deactivation of certain features that depend on domain verification. Therefore, to ensure continued functionality and to avoid potential issues, it is best to maintain the asuid.{domain} DNS TXT record while the application is active and using the domain.
