Hi,
Given your scenario, adding a Distribution Point (DP) might be a more suitable option for the following reasons:
- Content Distribution: Ensuring that applications, updates, and OS images are available locally, reducing the load on your network bandwidth.
- Efficiency: Speeding up deployment times for the remote site by having content readily available.
- Resilience: Providing some level of continuity in case of network issues between the primary site and the remote site.
A single primary site can support up to 100,000 clients devices. If you need to manage more devices, you will need more than one primary site.
If you want to achieve High availability for sites and hierarchies:
Install an additional site server in passive mode for a primary site. The site server in passive mode is in addition to your existing site server in active mode. A site server in passive mode is available for immediate use, when needed.
