Offline Address Book Update.

I have changed the SMTP address of a user yesterday, but still in outlook it is showing old address in GAL. It is showing that address is not valid while sending email, which is correct. But it is not picking or showing new address till now. How much maximum time it takes to replicate in GAL and what should i do to fix it. As, i can say individually in organization to all users to update the Offline address book individually.

    Based on your description, I understand you have changed the SMTP address, but still in outlook it is showing old address.

    This behavior is expected. The primary email address in Outlook will change in a few days. This delay is caused by the time it takes for the offline address book (OAB) to be updated in Exchange and the time it takes for Outlook to download the OAB. You could try to Create an Outlook profile - Microsoft Support to work around this behavior.
