I need to add a _resourceId table for custom log in log analytics workspace

I created VM , DCR , DCE , custom log (DCR) under Log Analytics workspace.

There is no data generated from custom log created.

Requesting to provide schema to add resourceid column to upload under schema and transformation editor.

Example of defining a schema for a custom log in Azure Log Analytics that includes a resourceid column.

If you have a custom log file with field like resourceid, your schema might look like this:

{

"Table": "YourCustomLogTableName",

"Columns": [

{ "name": "resourceid", "type": "string" }

]

}

To set up custom log collection:

Open the Azure Portal and go to your Log Analytics workspace.

Go to "Logs" and choose "Custom Logs."

Check if your custom log is listed and properly set up.

Review the settings like file path, format, and schema.

To make sure your data is being collected and processed correctly, first check that your data is arriving as expected. If there are problems, you might need to fix the schema or verify that the data format is right. Also, if you’re using the Transformation Editor, ensure it’s set up correctly to extract and include the resourceid column.

Check the log data in the Log Analytics workspace to make sure the resourceid column has data and is set up correctly. You can use queries to help with this.

CustomLog_CL

| project resourceid

| limit 50

Replace CustomLog_CL with the real name of your custom log table.
