RDP sessions will randomly disappear for users. I Have found windows event ID 20487 "Remote Desktop Services Network Fair Share was disabled for the user account XXX"

no other information on this though. Looking for a solution so that the user does not keep getting logged off. It's running a POS system so it's not good that the session just goes away. Fair Sharing scheduling is not configured right now in GPO.

    Hello,

Depending on your environment, it is recommended to first configure a fair sharing plan in the GPO, which helps balance network resources among users and prevents any single session from consuming too much bandwidth.

The general steps are as follows:

Open the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC).

Navigate to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Connections

Enable policy Limit the maximum network bandwidth used for a single session.

Also, check the resource limits on the server. If the server is running low on memory or CPU resources, the session may be disconnected. And, make sure that remote desktop clients on both the server and client computers have the latest updates installed.

    Best regards

    Jacen
